Using proxy mode in the preview window actually makes the problem worse. I downloaded the X15 Trial (21.0.1.193) and loaded the exact files and plugs/settings and X15 craps out bigtime with stutters and stalls. I have Vegas Pro 20 and Resolve running beautifully with ChromaKey Pro or Boris Primatte Studio plus Skin Smoothing plugs running on the timeline of this machine in the above mentioned NLE's with very good workable performance (1080 or 720 proxies or reduction of preview res or a combo of both.) Unusually Poor Timeline Performance on New Hardware/ W11 !!! Something WRONG with Video Pro X15. Hard drives: C Drive 256gb SSD, various other HDDs.
